Michael grew up in Chicago’s South Suburbs and initially studied engineering at the University of Illinois before discovering he loved restaurants more than school. He changed paths and enrolled in culinary school two years later.
Michael has spent 30 years in restaurants, almost entirely in fine dining. His career has taken him from upstate New York to Chicago, New Orleans, Philadelphia, Nashville, Grand Rapids, Michigan, and a mountain resort in California. He has worked at three James Beard Award-winning restaurants and another nominee, with at least one later earning a Michelin star.

Michael has also worked aboard private and charter vessels, including M/Y SEA HAWK, M/Y CURRENT $EA, M/Y THE GRATEFUL, M/Y EMINA, and currently a Chef aboard M/Y SEA AXIS.
Michael’s favorite place on Earth is Tokaj, Hungary, his favorite wine region in the world. He loves everything about it, from the food and climate to the people and culture.

Michael believes a Chef’s greatest gift is the memory a meal leaves behind. He wants guests to remember every dish, debate their favorites, and struggle to choose the best meal of their trip. His ultimate goal is to make dining ashore just a little disappointing, leaving guests wishing they had stayed on board to enjoy his food.

Michael describes himself as a culinary generalist, French-trained by German chefs, with experience in Polish, Asian, Southwestern, Cajun, and Hungarian cuisines. His background includes working in bakeries, chocolate shops, and cheese shops, as well as preparing specialized meals for guests undergoing cancer and heart treatments. He has also brewed beer, made cheese from milk, maintained sourdough starters, kept bees, and raised chickens, ducks, turkeys, rabbits, sheep, and goats.
He can cater to any dietary needs, guided by an early mentor who taught him to “Be a chameleon - adapt to whatever situation you are in, learn to work with anyone.” He’s taken that to heart

Michael has taught cooking classes and enjoys a variety of hobbies, most of them food-related, including brewing beer and making cheese. One of his biggest dreams is to remodel his house and make it perfect.

Some life mottos and restaurant sayings that have stuck with Michael include: “You eat with your eyes,” “If you see a problem, you own the problem,” and “If you keep cutting corners, eventually there will be no corners left to cut.”

Keagan grew up with a brother and sister in Zululand, South Africa, in a small town called Kwambonambi, surrounded by 12 dogs, 4 horses, and 4 cats. He lived 20 minutes from the ocean and grew up surfing with his father. He played rugby, hockey, and soccer for his state and competed in the Junior South African Surfing Championships. His hobbies also included motorbiking, skating, surfing, playing the ukulele, and singing.

While studying, he worked as a divemaster and in 2021 transitioned into a yachting career because of his love for the ocean, traveling, and meeting new people. He has worked on vessels such as M/Y SIREN, M/Y EILEEN, M/Y TALEYA, M/Y STAY SALTY, and is currently onboard M/Y SEA AXIS as a deckhand/divemaster.

He has cruised throughout the Mediterranean, including Greece, Italy, France, and Spain, as well as the United States, the Bahamas, and the Caribbean. His favorite place so far has been either the Bahamas or the Canary Islands because of the unique sea life and amazing surf spots. Outside of chartering, his favorite places are Bali, for its nature and island lifestyle, and Livigno for its excellent skiing.

Keagan wants guests to gain amazing new experiences and memories to take with them. He wants them to have the best experience while on board, and leave with a yearning to come back. He can teach SCUBA diving, surfing, wakeboarding, wakesurfing, and how to drive a jet ski.

In his personal time, his hobbies include surfing, scuba diving, skating, playing the ukulele, singing, and flying his drone.

His life mottos are: "Live like Jay" and "If I am entertaining people, I am doing a good thing."

Adrian grew up in the small coastal town of Barra de Navidad, Jalisco, Mexico, in a house by the ocean with his three brothers. As a child, he enjoyed playing football and fishing.

He studied International Business before starting his yachting career in 2020, joining charter yachts in 2023.

Adrian is a responsible and reliable person with a real passion for what he does. He believes in always giving his best and trying to improve every day. For guests, he simply wants to give them the best experience possible and make sure it’s a trip they will never forget.

Adrian has worked on vessels including M/Y CRILI, M/Y BORA GORA, M/Y STARSHIP, and currently a First Officer on board M/Y SEA AXIS. He has cruised throughout the Caribbean, Bahamas and New England.

In his free time he enjoys surfing, fishing, diving, spearfishing and jet skiing, and is always up for sharing what he knows or teaching others a new skill.

Adrian likes to keep an open mind about what the future holds. He believes life can change in a second, so for now, he prefers to enjoy the journey and see where it takes him.

His life motto is: “Once again.”

Bianca grew up in the seaside town of Mossel Bay, along South Africa’s beautiful Garden Route with her older brother, and together they enjoyed an active outdoor lifestyle made possible by living so close to the ocean. The beach and surrounding natural beauty provided endless opportunities to pursue a variety of hobbies, including surfing, lifeguarding, sailing, hiking, hockey, athletics, netball, and swimming. Growing up in such a vibrant seaside community helped shape her adventurous spirit, strong work ethic, and lifelong love for the outdoors.

Before yachting, Bianca worked as a lifeguard and waitress. She started her yachting career in 2022, following her love for the ocean and being at sea. She is an adventurous and positive person who loves travelling, meeting new people and making deep connections. She values kindness, being genuine and having a good sense of humor, and always tries to bring a positive energy wherever she goes. As a Stewardess she hopes to create an experience where guests can switch off, refresh, enjoy time with family and friends, explore beautiful destinations and make memories they’ll cherish long after the charter.

Within yachting, Bianca hopes to work her way up to Chief Stewardess, leading her own interior team and creating amazing guest experiences. She is passionate about hospitality and excited to continue learning and growing in the industry. Outside of yachting, she dreams of starting her own business, investing in property and eventually creating something of her own within the hospitality industry.

Her favorite charter destination is the Amalfi Coast, with its breathtaking scenery, spectacular food, and beautiful beaches. And her favorite place on earth is where she’s surrounded by the people she loves most, because they are what truly make any place feel special.

In her spare time, you'll usually find her at the beach or in the water surfing. It's something that makes her feel completely present and connected to nature. She would love to help people learn the fundamentals of surfing, feel comfortable in the ocean, and discover the joy and freedom that it brings

Chief Engineer- Jerome

Jerome comes from a small parish called Saint Andrew. Situated southeast of Jamaica. He has worked at sea since he was 24 years old. He enjoyed a distinguished career in the merchant marine obtaining his Class III/1 COC.He sailed as Engineer officer of the watch on several types of cargo ships; bulk carriers, tankers, tug boats, container and general cargo. Jerome has a very calm nature, logical, positive and well thought approach to engineering problem solving and troubleshooting. Jerome transit from commercial ships over into yachting in 2017 where he integrated his ship engineering experience into the yachting industry.

Introducing Leanne, the vibrant and welcoming Chief Stewardess aboard the luxurious motor yacht Sea Axis. Born in South Africa, she brings a wealth of experience and a genuine passion for hospitality to the yachting industry.

Leanne embarked on her yachting journey in 2021 and joined Sea Axis in October 2023 as Second Stewardess/Masseuse. She was promoted to Chief Stewardess in November 2024, reflecting her dedication and love for the job. Leanne holds a Higher Certificate in Marketing from IMM and is continually pursuing her IAMI G.U.E.S.T. certifications. She also aims to complete her Purser's course as part of her ongoing professional development.

Growing up on the East Coast of South Africa, Leanne was a competitive swimmer and dancer, fostering a love for movement and expression. Fluent in English and proficient in Afrikaans, she communicates effortlessly with guests
from diverse backgrounds.

With a background in Marketing and Advertising, Leanne made the bold decision to transition to yachting in 2021 at the age of 36. Her previous experiences include working as an account executive for a marketing agency for 12 years. Leanne's yachting journey began on Tatami (31m) and Lady B (52m), where she honed her skills in both private and charter settings.

Leanne's current role as Chief Stewardess on Sea Axis allows her to showcase her natural ability to make everyone on board feel welcome and at ease. Whether interacting with owners, charter guests, or contractors, Leanne ensures that the Sea Axis experience is characterized by warmth and hospitality.

Having cruised through various destinations, including Florida, the Bahamas, the Caribbean, Panama, and Costa Rica, Leanne's favorite charter destination thus far is the enchanting Bahamas. When not at sea, Leanne enjoys wakeboarding, paddleboarding, camping, reading, spa days, and swimming.

Her personal mission extends beyond yachting, as she aspires to explore and visit numerous countries and islands. Leanne looks forward to creating memorable experiences for guests while saving to bring her parents on a journey to share the beauty of the world. With dreams of someday owning and running a bush lodge in Africa, Leanne envisions a haven where guests become part of the Sea Axis family, cherishing new experiences every day.
