I am a beginner; can I participate in a regatta?

In a regatta, the schedule is adaptable to match your event needs and our professional skippers guarantee an activity in a secure environment and accessible to all. The experienced sailors will be able to take full advantage of the modern et well equipped boats, whilst the beginners will be able to learn from the advice given by their peers and the skipper. In order to sail successfully, you need to share the tasks on-board, true teamwork. If some tasks are more demanding, others will be more strategic or energetic, either way all the tasks on-board do not require a specific physical condition.

Is there a minimum or maximum number of participants needed to organise a regatta?

Our mono-hulled sail boats ranging from 45 to 60 feet can welcome up to 10 guests per boat. A regatta activity allows you to easily tailor your project by adapting the number of boats to the size of your group. Due to a professional skipper being on-board to accompany you, there is no minimum number of passengers required for you to organise your team building regatta, but you will need a minimum of 2 sailing boats to organise a race. Arthaud Yachting can propose a fleet of around 30 sail boats departing from most of the major cities such as Monaco, Nice, Cannes, Saint Tropez and even Marseille, thus allowing you to embark up to 300 guests with rotations.

What is the timing for the organisation of a regatta?

Between the embarkation, security briefing, time for training, the races and the disembarkation, we advise to allocate a minimum of two hours for your regatta activity. Arthaud Yachting and their professional skippers take care of the passengers from your arrival in the harbour and take care of organising your nautical activity until the moment your return on land. The proposed vessels do not applicate half day rental rates and are at your disposal for a maximum of 8 hours with a limit based on the time of the sun set on your chosen date. The rental hours are flexible and can be adapted to match your schedule. You do not need to embark and disembark in the same harbour should you wish to take advantage of your sailing regatta to discover the region.

What do I need to bring for the day?

In order to spend a pleasant day, we advise that you bring comfortable shoes with non-marking soles and your usual beach bag including swimming suit, beach towel and sun cream. In winter, a windbreaker is highly recommended.

Is it possible to eat on-board?

Arthaud Yachting proposes some catering options on-board, but you remain free to bring your own food or to choose your own caterer. We recommend that you opt for a cold meal such as a cold platter, packed lunch, picnic basket or cocktail. If you prefer to disembark for lunch, the security motorboats remain at your disposal to use as shuttles to disembark you at the restaurant of your choice, this remains subject to having access to a pontoon or harbour.

What are the extra costs that may apply?

Arthaud Yachting send tailor-made quotation which leave no space to surprises. The daily rate includes the delivery fees to the place chosen for the embarkation and the fuel consumption for the regatta, the cost of the skipper, regatta equipment, security motorboats, organisers and harbour taxes are also included in our proposals. Our catering options are also proposed to you within our quotation.
